To all of you who have know Eileen through the years, and those who will only come to know her now, Merry Christmas!
Here is an excerpt from Eileen’s service at St. John’s Church in Worcester, 25 November 1984.
“I’m going to show you how to prepare in your hearts a Spiritual Manger where it will be soft and comfortable for the Christ Child. It sounds child-like? Well our Lord says, “Become as little children to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” We’re not being childish but being innocent, open, and child-like. We can prepare our Manger this very day because you left your comfortable homes to come here at St. John’s to listen to the Word of God. This can buy a Spiritual Manger in your soul for the preparation of the Christ Child. And then each day you can make sacrifices and these sacrifices can be the hay that you place in your Spiritual Manger in your soul.”
Let us offer all of our daily sacrifices to Our Lord, so that we will live in union with Him. I will carry all of you to the altar during my Christmas Masses.
